As many sights as there are in Prague, parking spaces are few and far between.
So that you can still find a place comfortably, we have created the following overview for you.
Park and Ride Parking Garages
There are park and ride facilities at some subway stations outside the center, about 20 in total. These are guarded parking lots. The opening hours are based on the subway travel times, the parking lots close at 1:00 am and reopen at 4:00 am.

Along with your parking ticket, you can also buy discounted tickets for public transport at the ticket machines in the parking lots. They are valid only on the day of parking.
Parking Garages in the City Center (Open 24 Hours)
There are pay parking garages all over the city, many of which are located near train stations, attractions, and shopping centers. Prices start at around 2.00 euros per hour and can go up to 4.00 euros per hour.
Many downtown parking garages are open 24 hours. Here is a list of some of them.
• Palladium Parking Garage, which is one of the largest with 900 spaces
• Anchor Garage, opposite from the Palladium shopping center
• Underground Garage, near the National Theater
• Rudolfinum Garage, near Charles Bridge
• Parking Lot at Charles Square
• Wilson Parking Lot, near the main Railway Station
• Garage Center, next to the State Opera

At www.mrparkit.com you can reserve your garage space in advance. The payment is exclusively cashless.
Cost of Park and Ride in Prague
The park and ride facilities are guarded and cost only 20 Czech crowns (about 80 cents) for the whole day (4:00 - 1:00) and 100 Czech crowns (about 4 euros) per night.
Tickets for Public Transport
There are various tickets for public transport.
The 30-minute ticket is valid for half an hour from the time it is validated and costs around 0.90 euros. You can change trains as often as you like, change means of transport, or interrupt your journey.
The 90-minute ticket is valid for one and a half hours from the time of validation and costs approximately 2.00 euros. You can change trains as often as you like, change means of transport, or interrupt your journey.
A ticket for 24 or 72 hours can be used exactly the specified number of hours from the time of validation.

Parking Zones in Prague
Parking zones in downtown Prague are marked by different colors. Many spaces in the city center are reserved for residents.
- Blue Zone: Only residents with a parking permit may park here.
- Orange Zone: Short-term parking - Parking up to 2 hours is allowed. Valid from 8:00 to 18:00, the price per hour is about 40 crowns.
- Green Zone: Long-term parking - Parking up to 6 hours is allowed. Valid from 8:00 to 18:00, the price per hour is around 30 crowns.
Parking Ticket Sales
At the public parking lots there are machines that issue temporary parking permits. They are marked with a big blue "P". For these machines you need small change.
The ticket must be placed in a visible location on the dashboard.
Mobile Apps
Cell phone apps like Parkování show you the next free parking space and how to get there via real navigation and give information in advance about the costs.
Payment by cell phone is also possible in many cases.
Free Parking
In the city center it is very difficult if not impossible to find free parking. A little outside the city center you can park for free on the side of the road. Some hotels also provide free parking for their guests.
