Il est situ\u00e9 dans le centre de Prague, sur la place de la R\u00e9publique, \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la maison municipale Obecn\u00ed Dum. La construction a commenc\u00e9 en 1475, mais a \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9e 9 ans apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but car le roi de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque avait fait d\u00e9placer sa r\u00e9sidence officielle de la vieille ville au ch\u00e2teau de Prague. Aujourd&rsquo;hui encore, la Tour Poudri\u00e8re est une porte d&rsquo;entr\u00e9e monumentale de la Vieille Ville, elle se dresse au d\u00e9but de la Route du Couronnement ou Royale menant au <a data-id=\"738\" data-type=\"page\" href=\"https:\/\/praguetouristinformation.com\/fr\/choses-a-faire\/chateau\" style=\"outline: none;\">Ch\u00e2teau de Prague<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p>Il doit son nom au fait qu&rsquo;il \u00e9tait autrefois une poudri\u00e8re.
