Lennon fue considerado un h\u00e9roe de la juventud checa en Praga con sus canciones de protesta pol\u00edtica con temas como la libertad y fue, como la m\u00fasica occidental en general, una espina en el costado del r\u00e9gimen comunista.<\/p>\n<p>Was als Trauerst\u00e4tte begann, entwickelte&nbsp; sich nach und nach in einen stillen Protest gegen die kommunistische Regierung und dem Ruf nach mehr Freiheit. Immer mehr Liedtexte und Bilder von den Beatles wurden auf der Mauer verewigt.<\/p>\n<p>Um dem regierungskritischen und freiheitsfordernden Gedanken Einhalt zu gebieten, lie\u00df das kommunistische Regime die Mauer mehrfach komplett \u00fcberstreichen. Doch die Mauer wurde stets wieder mit neuen Graffitis und Aufschriften bedeckt. 1988 kam es sogar zu Zusammenst\u00f6\u00dfen mit der Sicherheitspolizei und zu Festnahmen, als Studenten auf die Mauer Unmuts\u00e4u\u00dferungen \u00fcber die Regierung schrieben.<\/p>\n<p>Zuletzt wurde die John Lennon Wall 1998 von der Regierung, sowie im Jahr 2014 von einer Street-Art-Gruppe, wei\u00df \u00fcbert\u00fcncht. Wie auch zuvor, hielt der Zustand nicht lange und zahlreiche Graffitis und Botschaften schm\u00fcckten wieder die Mauer.
