There are a total of seven platform tracks here.<\/p>\n<p>Three additional island platforms with six platform tracks are located outside the platform hall, they are provided with individual platform roofs.<\/p>\n<p>The platforms can be reached through three pedestrian tunnels.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552187\">Good to Know<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Display Boards:&nbsp;<\/strong>Initially, only the departure times are displayed on the display boards. About 20 minutes before departure, the platforms are indicated. Once you arrive at the platform, you still have to find the right track.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>North and South<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>North <\/strong>in Czech is <em>sever<\/em>, abbreviated with &#8220;S&#8221; and denotes the part of the platform facing north.<\/p>\n<p><strong>South <\/strong>is<em> jih<\/em> in Czech and is abbreviated with &#8220;J&#8221; and designates the part of the platform that points to the south.<\/p>\n<p>So if you read &#8220;platform 7J&#8221; on the display with the track information, it means that the train will depart from platform 7 on the southern part.<\/p>\n<p>From the entrance, the north is on the left side.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Praha Masarykovo n\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed: <\/strong>Do not confuse the train station with the Masaryk station. The company was founded in 2012 with headquarters in Munich and served about 2,500 destinations in 30 countries with 62 million customers in 2019.The green double-decker buses are modern, comfortable vehicles with on-board toilet and free Wi-Fi. Snacks and drinks are sold during the ride.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552191\">Public Transport<\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Subway<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Line C, marked in red, serves Prague&#8217;s main train station and provides a quick connection to the nearby city center. The following lines of the Prague suburban railroad serve the main station: 5, 9, 26<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bus<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The 504 bus line goes to the main station, along with others.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Airport Express<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The AE bus line connects Prague&#8217;s main train station with the airport. The buses run daily between 5:30 and 21:00 at least every 30 minutes, in the high season also every 15 minutes.The stop is located on Wilsonova street. Taxis that stop near points frequently frequented by tourists are usually overpriced and travel far too long distances.<\/p>\n<p>The basic charge is 60 Czech crowns (approx. 2.40 euros), the price per kilometer is 36 Czech crowns (approx. 1.45 euros). For standing and waiting time, 7 Czech crowns per minute (approx. 0.28 euros) is charged.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552194\">Car Rental<\/h2>\n<p>Sixt, Budget, Avis, and other car rental providers are at your disposal. Of course, you can book your rental car online in advance. The vehicle is then ready for you directly upon arrival.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552195\">Food, Restaurants, and Cafes<\/h2>\n<p>The gastronomic offerings in the train station are versatile. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, various snack stands offer a quick meal for in between, including Burger King , Subway, and many more restaurants and cafes.<\/p>\n<p>Fantova Kav\u00e1rna (Cafe Fanta) is located in the original entrance hall in the historical part of the Art Nouveau railway station and is definitely worth a visit. It can be reached by escalator from the modern level -1.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552196\">Shopping, Shops, and Stores<\/h2>\n<p>Of course, at the Prague Train Station you can buy everything you need when traveling &#8211; and much more.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous stores, offering every thing from newspapers and cosmetics to clothing and jewelry, press articles and food, can be found in the basement of the train station.<\/p>\n<p>The Billa supermarket in the basement is open daily from 7:00 to 23:00.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552197\">Pharmacy<\/h2>\n<p>Pharmacy is called <em>l\u00e9k\u00e1rna<\/em> in Czech.<\/p>\n<p>There is a large pharmacy in the Prague Train Station and some of the employees speak English. One hour costs about 1.60 Euro and 24 hours about 25 Euro. The parking garage is guarded.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552199\">Lockers and Luggage Storage<\/h2>\n<p>Luggage storage at Prague Train Station is located at the beginning of the right passage to the platforms and is open 7 days a week from 06:00 to 23:00. The price is about 2 Euro per day.<\/p>\n<p>Lockers are located in the basement -2 of the train station.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552200\">Travel Center and Information<\/h2>\n<p>You will find the travel center and the information desk on the first floor of the train station.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552201\">Lounge<\/h2>\n<p>There is a CD lounge with free WiFi located at the back of level -2 near the main CD ticket offices, open from 06:00-22:30. &nbsp;It can be used by all 1st class passengers and 2nd class ticket holders for higher class trains such as EuroCity, EuroNight, Ex, REx, IC, and SuperCity trains.<\/p>\n<p>However, the lounge does not necessarily correspond to the classic idea of a lounge, it can rather be described as a waiting area.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552202\">ATM<\/h2>\n<p>ATMs for cash withdrawal are available on almost every level of the train station.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"t-1638817552203\">Lost &amp; Found<\/h2>\n<p>More than 250,000 items are lost in train stations and on trains every year. Anyone who finds something at the station or on the train can either hand it in to the train staff or to the lost property office at the station. Mrs Sophie&#8217;s Downtown is only 300 meters away, Limar Apartments are 400 meters away, after only 500 meters you will find both Garden ApartHotel.
