It weighs 800 kilograms and has 148 light bulbs.

Inseparably connected with the history of Estates Theater is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who conducted “Figaro’s Wedding” here in January 1787. On October 29, 1787, Estates Theater hosted the world premiere of the opera “Don Giovanni,” which Mozart dedicated to the people of Prague. In the following years other operas by Mozart were performed.

With almost 700 seats, Estates Theater is today one of the stages of the National Theater and is used for ballet and drama performances, with the operas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart forming a program focus.

Contact

Address: Železná, Staré Město, 110 00 Prague

Public Transport: Subway line A, grüne Linie und U-Bahnlinie B, gelbe Linie, Haltestelle Můstek

Opening Hours: Opening hours can be found here.

Related Articles

7 Best Theaters in Prague [with Map]

10 Beautiful Parks in the Center of Prague

Prague Old Town: Shopping, Sightseeing & Restaurants

20 Best Museums in Prague

The Estates Theater is a historic theater building on the Fruit Market in Prague’s Old Town.
