What an I Do at the KGB Museum?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The KGB Museum is a small private museum that for the first time has collected objects that belonged to the senior officials of the Soviet State Security.<\/p>\n

Among them are exhibits from the KGB Soviet Secret Service and its predecessors ,Cheka and NKVD, from members of the Ministry of State Security (MGB), the Secret Police of the Soviet Union (GPU and OGPU), and from members of the “People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs” (NKVD).<\/p>\n

Visitors can also view weapons, spy cameras, electrical interrogators, and other equipment from the KGB laboratories, providing good insight into the practices of the various national security agencies.<\/p>\n

Among the most interesting exhibits is the weapon used to kill Leon Trotsky and the death mask of Vladimir Lenin. Also worth seeing is the personal property of Lavrentiy Beria, the head of the NKVD.<\/p>\n

Another part of the museum presents the photo exhibition “Prague 1968 in the eyes of a KGB officer”. Other exhibition rooms focus on the everyday work of the officers.<\/p>\n
