Kampa Museum is one of the most important modern art galleries in Prague.<\/p>\n

Visitors can admire the permanent and changing collections, which are kept in a former flour mill from the 15th century. Interesting workshops complete the museum offerings.<\/p>\n

Permanent Exhibition<\/h3>\n

The permanent exhibition presents works from the private collection of the couple. Jan Ml\u00e1dek and Meda Ml\u00e1dkov\u00e1. The focus is on contemporary art from Eastern and Central Europe from the 20th and 21st centuries.<\/p>\n

Works by important artists from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and the former Yugoslavia are presented.<\/p>\n

Particularly worth seeing is the extensive collection of abstract art by Franti\u0161ek Kupka and the sculptures by the cubist sculptor, Otto Gutfreund. These are, at the same time, the main focus of the exhibition.<\/p>\n

Sculptures in Front of the Museum<\/h3>\n

Also noteworthy is the sculpture of an enormous chair in front of the museum. This was created by the Czech sculptor, Magdalena Jetelov\u00e1.<\/p>\n

Visitors can also encounter three of the “Miminkas” by the eminent artist, David \u010cern\u00fd, in front of the museum building. This sculpture group of crawling babies is part of another one installed on the Prague TV Tower.<\/p>\n
